               As you all can probably tell I enjoy comedy in numerous different ways.  Another one of my other addictions is Modern Family.  Now if you've never watched this show it airs on ABC Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. and I urge you all to watch.  Modern Family is pretty much just like the title.  A modern family consisting of one family that lives closely together and experiences everything together.  There is a normal aged family, a family with to gay parents, and a family consisting of an older man and a younger women.  Along with a hormonal pregnant women, an over protective mother, and an over sophisticated boy along with many others. They go through all of life's obstacles some families.  This episode revolves around a good old Yard Sale.

                My favorite movie is Finding Nemo, yes an animated movie. I am in love with Disney movies and animations.  Finding Nemo shows you a view of what the ocean looks like, all the good and bad; sharks, coral reefs and majestic fish.  But the movie is so much more than that.  It shows you the love between a father and son.  It shows you valves that you should have along with any struggle a "teenager" will have in their life time.  The emotion you feel as you watch this movies is amazing, a wide variety consisting of love , hatred, fear, and astonishment.  

                Finding Nemo has been a reflection of my life story to some extend and that is part of the reason its is my favorite. All my struggles in life, my eye disability; Nemo's fin, fighting with your parents to being inseparable and finding yourself.

                Beyond my personal reasons for loving this movie it is also a great teaching tool that I will use in my future classroom.  It teaches everyone that acceptance is needed and not to "judge a book by the cover."  When Dori and Marlin run into the shark, Bruce, they are overcome with fear when in reality the sharks live by the motto, Fish are friends not food.  This shows how everyone stereotypes people before they truly understand who they are.  This movie also teaches everyone to have trust with one another.  The reason that Nemo is taken away is because Marlin simply didn't believe in Nemo's lucky fin and it turns out in the end of the movie after the trust they gain together saves not only Dori's live but their  relationship as father and son.

How to Make Tie Dye Cupcakes

Not one person can go without making cupcakes in their lifetime.  We choose to discuss about the creation of the perfect cupcake for any unfortunate individuals out there who have not fulfilled this imperative obstacle in their life.  Almost everybody has seen the basic chocolate and vanilla cupcakes.  With just a bit more time involved, any person with baking abilities can create tie-dye cupcakes.  Tie-dye cupcakes, a fusion of colors similar to orange, blue, green, purple, yellow, and red, can make any event so much more colorful.  Why do people choose to create these tiny but delicious treats?  The simple cupcakes, vanilla and chocolate, were developed to make baking simpler.  It avoided the chance of burning a cake and risk of forgetting the recipe.  Nowadays, the understanding of creating tie-dye cupcakes can help with any social event, since it does bring about much liveliness to everything.  The baking of cupcakes can be an entertaining occasion for all ages and can bring families and friends together.

We joined a group because we were all interested in the same idea of desserts.  Through an outside resource, Pintrest, the idea of tie-dye cupcakes captured our eye.  After much discussion and picture hunting, we decided to share it with everybody.  With such an interesting idea of cupcake baking, a person must know all the ingredients, preparation, and processes to produce the perfect tie-dye cupcake.

Journal #2 : Inappropriate Tweets but True

I revolve myself around social media so when I came across the article, "The Best Twitter Comic on the Planet?: An Interview with Rob Delaney," on popmatters.com I had to read it to see what it was all about.  Recently I have started tweeting and it has became a new addiction with my new tweet count at 400 in only a month.  I fallow numerous people and sites on Twitter that interest me, mostly comedy; however, I had never heard of Rob Delaney before.  I looked him up on Twitter and found that his latest tweet was, "Monster Energy just called, said they'd sponsor me to throw a fax machine at a pregnant woman."  How awful!  Yet when watching commercials on TV this is the norm of something you would see, and yes some would also laugh, but is that wrong?

"How-to" Bake Cupcakes

 

Baking cupcakes is my favorite hobby.  It’s something I enjoy doing, making each batch of cupcakes from starch every time.  Recently I made some cupcakes for a wedding shower.  Personally and as I’ve been told they are to die for. 

 First off I get out all the proper ingredients as stated in the recipe and line them alone the counter in their order of use. Then you need to pre heat the oven usually to 350°, line two trays of cupcake trays with 24 cupcake liners and set aside. Then under line specific step to fallow on the recipe such as, let butter stand at room temperature for 30 minutes or mix these certain ingredients together and set aside.  Doing this insure you won’t miss an important set.  Then you’ll need to take out the proper measuring tools such as tablespoons, teaspoons, measuring cup, whisk, and a Kitchen Aid mixer with mixing bowl. Now you’re completely ready. Start by reading the recipe and adding ingredients step by step. Once the recipe is completed you need to place the batter into the 24 lined trays (1 ½ tablespoons of batter is the proper amount to add per liner).  Place the trays into the oven for the said time. Once the timer goes off, stick a toothpick into the center of one cupcake, if it comes out clean they’re done, if not place in the oven for another two minutes. Once done take the trays out using an oven mitt and remove the cupcakes onto a cutting board till cooled.  About 30 minutes.

The Controversial Call

               Winning actually isn't the only thing was the perfect title to this piece, David Maraniss did a great job on this section. When he starts off the story he draws you in with a fact about the Packers that most people hadn't known nor did they pay any attention to it in the news prior to the game. In respect to the refs Maraniss doesn't blame the loss on them like everyone else here in Packer nation but onto Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson for the way they were only happy that they had won the game. He flipped the tables of what everyone saw but didn't pay attention to just as he did in the opening statement. I loved Maraniss' detail about how the game made him feel, how he couldn't sleep at night, allowing the readers to be at his same level of emotions. 

                I agree with what David Maraniss said. Personally I didn't watch the game but I think if you didn't watch it and have Twitter or Facebook you knew exactly what happened and the emotions felt by your closest friends. As for the refs, I agree in the fact it's not entirely their fault, they are college refs and definitely there's a reason they aren't at such a high level. The coach of Seattle and Russell Wilson could have shown more class and expressed their sympathy that they had won on such a bad call. I believe the Packers would do such a thing. Looking at the game from a different perspective is a good thing to do in this type of situation.  I think there shouldn't be pointing at the refs anymore because the NFL should know just what to do after a call made like that, they will lose fans which loses money and so forth. It will be a waiting game to see what happens after this game if things will start to see a change.
