Make-up Writer's Choice: Creating Relationships

Pi along with the Bengal tiger

A couple years ago I was thrilled to watch the movie Avatar, even though it is fiction the movie makes you wonder, what if this was real?  This fall the movie, Life of Pi, was released.  Out of everyone around myself, I was the only one who had and desire to go and watch the film.  With no clear idea what the movie was about I have yet to go and spend $9.00 on the movie.

I came across an article on the A.V. Club website about the Life of Pi written by Tasha Robinson.  In this article not only did she rate the movie with an A- but also gives a great background look into the movie.  After reading the article I came to learn that Pi is a young boy who has lost his family to a shipwreck and he was one of the only people to survive, along with a Bengal tiger.  Pi has always had a great love for animals and thought that animals do in fact have souls.  Throughout the movie we find out that animals do have souls and that Pi has proven is Father wrong.

This movie truly sounds heartwarming and filled with a lot of passion.  It gives it viewers and inside look at how animals do have souls and are like humans.  Pi and the Bengal tiger live together on a small boat without killing one another.  This shows us that we can coexist with animals along with others.  We determined the relationships we have with one another.
