Pop Culture Journal 6: The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead

Usually I am into comedy type shows and movies; however, The Walking Dead Come Knocking, has turned into a Sunday night show that I religiously have watched here at school.  This show is about a town that has been taken over by zombies; yet, not everyone has been affected by the "infection."  There are a group of people trying to survive through all the events that are happening, they need to try and find food, shelter and kill of any zombie that may soon be a threat to their life.  This article, written by Zack Handlen, gives you a great over view of how The Walking Dead series has overcome the bad seasons in the previous two year and how last Sunday Night's episode has truly left all its viewers on the edge of their seats.

One of the episodes most changing scenes is when the group of survivors decides to let Michonne into their "safe zone".  They spent a while interrogating her to find out all the information that she had known by pushing on her deep wound in her leg.  In reality they don't know if by saving her life they are heroes or if she will infect them with the disease.

They have trusted their instincts.  Will it pay off for them in the end?  None of them were killed by her when she had them in point blank range with a bow.  This episode showed all its viewers not to, "judge a book by its cover."

I can't wait to see what happens  on the next weeks episode if they kill Michonne or let her live.  Zack Handlen gave this episode an A-.  Hopefully the ratings will continue to increase as the season progresses.
